Roberto Soto-Ortiz and his young children, Cattaleya and Isaias Soto were asleep in their home in the 500 block of Company Street when the deadly fire broke out around 4 a.m. on July 14, according to the York County coroner's office.
The coroner’s office was called to Wellspan York Hospital around 6 a.m. on Friday.
Chief Deputy Coroner Tania Zech investigated and certified the deaths of Roberto and Cattaleya.
No autopsies will be performed, but routine toxicologies will be conducted.
Isaias was originally rescued and in critical condition when he was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital, his uncle Luis Soto explained in a GoFundMe campaign launched to help cover the medical expenses.
He was taken off life support and pronounced dead at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, July 16, 2023, the family and the Lehigh County coroner separately explained.
His official cause of death was "complications of thermal burns and smoke inhalation due to house fire," and the manner was accidental.
The causes and manners of death for Roberto and Cattaleya have not been released as of Monday morning.
The York City Police Department continues to investigate.
Roberto is described as a loving partner, brother, father, and friend. He enjoyed cracking jokes, was passionate about cars and motorcycles, and liked to spend time with his family, Luis wrote on the GoFundMe.
Cattaleya, "was just a little princess," Luis said. Her favorite hobby was painting and she like to spend time with her family. "Your light may have been extinguished too soon, but your impact on this world will never fade," Luis said.
The family "will hold your memory close to our hearts, forever grateful for the time we had with you. May you find eternal peace in the arms of the Lord," he concluded the post.
The campaign has raised $4,271 of a $25,000 goal from 48 donations— the top donation of $1,000 was given anonymously within the first 24 hours of the campaign.
